Curatorial+Co. has featured a powerful series of work by Gumbaynggirr and Bundjalung artist Charmaine Davis at Brookfield Place, Sydney. Presented as part of a rotating exhibition program between Curatorial+Co. and Brookfield Place, the works exhibited from July to September 2025, coinciding with cultural events and activations across the precinct during NAIDOC Week.

Deeply rooted in Davis’ ancestral connection to Country, each large-scale work explores themes of culture, homelands, and family. Through layered textures, bold mark-making, and a striking palette, Davis invites viewers to engage with powerful stories of place, memory, and connection.

Davis’ works are reflections of a spiritual connection to Country. Through ancestral links, family, identity and community Charmaine tells not only her own story, but that of her lineage and people.
